Jingte is from Wenzhou, China and is a first-generation college graduate. He earned his B.A. in Chemistry from Lewis & Clark College in 2024, where he received the ACS Undergraduate Award in Environmental Chemistry for his research in Prof. Balko’s Lab on Fenton reactions in wastewater treatment. He then pursued his M.S. in Chemistry through the Knight Campus Graduate Internship Program at the University of Oregon, specializing in polymers. At UO, he worked on functionalizing PEG as a covalent modifier for keratin in a topical wound-healing drug. In 2025, Jingte joined OHSU as a Research Assistant II in the Frank Lab, where he is currently working on developing cannabinoid-based photoligands to study substance use disorder. Outside the lab, he enjoys food and coffee, following Formula 1, and diving.
