(Updated 08/2025) The Frank lab is growing and hiring at the graduate student and postdoctoral levels:
We are seeking an energetic Postdoctoral Researcher with a strong background in synthetic organic chemistry to join an NIH-funded project focused on developing chemical probes to manipulate and visualize cannabinoid receptor signaling pathways. The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. in organic chemistry, chemical biology, or a related field, and will have extensive expertise in synthetic methodology, purification, and structural characterization. Experience with biological techniques—such as cell culture, fluorescence imaging, or electrophysiology—is desirable but not required.
We’re seeking an enthusiastic Postdoctoral Researcher with a background in electrophysiology or in vivo fiber photometry to join an NIH-funded project focused on applying photoswitchable cannabinoid ligands to complex neural systems. The ideal candidate will hold a PhD. in neuroscience, physiology, or a related field, and will have extensive expertise in whole cell electrophysiology OR rodent fiber photometry. Experience with chemical biology techniques is desirable, but not required.
We are accepting graduate student rotations for Fall / Winter 2025/2026 through OHSU’s Program in Biomedical Sciences (PBMS) and Neuroscience Graduate Program (NGP).
We recognize that diverse backgrounds, abilities, and perspectives are essential for advancements in our field; therefore, candidates from underrepresented communities are especially encouraged to apply to join our lab, where a culture of cooperation, rigor, and respect is valued.
